*Donation is not required to apply for the Adopt-a-Bench Program. Once you have approved a mock up of the plaque inscription from the manufacturer, a $2000 deposit donation is required to order the bench. Once the bench is installed, the remaining donation amount will be due. However, if you are mailing in your application and would like to include a cheque for your deposit donation before mock up is approved, you may do so.

I understand that a donation to the Friends of Point Pelee for a commemorative bench in no way constitutes ownership of the item, the land upon which it is situated or the surrounding lands.

I understand that I do not have permission to alter the bench or the lands around the bench in any way.

I understand that the bench has a sunset date of 20 years from the date of installation and during that time maintenance will be provided by Parks Canada

I understand that there is no guaranteed installation date of the bench. The bench has a manufacturing process of 6-8 weeks, delivery is approximately 2 weeks and installation may take several months depending on location, surrounding natural habitat and seasonal weather.
